Have been using them at home for a couple of years and can not fault them. They provide a fixed IP address that means it's much easier to log into servers that I run in the big wide world and have restrictions on the IP address used to access the SSH client.

Aol
I used to be with AOL, 12 years of hassle free broadband service without hitch. One house move later and 5 telephone calls a week for one month, all of which were over an hour and a half in length has left my fragile mind in a fractured state. Be warned, this company does not have the word cancel or stop available to any of its staff either on the telephone or by email/post. I am still paying for a broadband and telephone call package service on a phone line that does not exist. I have sent all my information to the AOL complaints manager, the ombudsman and Trading Standards is now involved. Only join this company if you never have any intention of leaving, moving home, dying or anything else which would require any form of back up or assistance from the Lie Centre they call ‘customer services’. Possibly the worst company ever next to Datasharp Wales who even by AOL’s dismal standards fail on every level.

I migrated from another LLU isp, due to it being closed , after a bungled attempt to connect me to be (by bt openreach) & several days without phone & adsl , the service is no where near as stable as it had been for several years with my previous isp, i have reported this and they reply with some lame excuse saying that disconnects are normal , to add they have some serious issues with peering and routing, and peak time congestion affecting some of their customer base, so not a good choice if you are a online gamer

Demon
I agree with most of what I have read in this forum. Demon have seriously declined as an internet provider. I get a tolerable speed of 2.9kb in off peak times but this goes down considerably or off altogether after 4pm. I have also been told that it is the fault of either cables or router and that my line is unstable etc. I have asked why it is unstable only at peak times but get no satisfactory answer. I am on the search for a more reliable ISP - any recommendations welcome.

Efh
I have been with EFH for over a year, what a waste of money: Their "fair use policy" is anything but, the customer service was polite but ineffectual and the connection speed was variable and far, far slower than advertised. In short I do not feel I got value for money with this provider. I have now changed and receive speeds that you would expect from a broadband connection, speeds that EFH didn't manag on a good day and even better the connection is consistent. The ISP is so bad a reliable dial up connection would be preferable.

We signed up 6 months ago and we had no problems until 6 weeks ago, since then we have been able to receive no service and no one on the switchboard/ technical advice/ sales team has helped us. After 3 weeks of expensive phone calls we finally got someone in the sales team who apologised and promised ot sen dus a new 'test' router, but after a week nothing arrived and we called only to find out 'that was the REAL' sales dept and they dont offer that service- so, 6 weeks on no internet but we're still paying for broadband. terrible.

Well I just studied many of your articles and I have to declare I concur approximately 80% of them. That isn't bad considering we're in the same career. I became motivated to see someone prepared to speak their mind just like you do. You're a great writer.

Namesco
Hi everyone. I took broadband with Namesco last month. I placed my order and received everything within one week and and few more days i got my phone line connected. I have used my broadband since i got connected and never faced any problem at all. I was connected all the time, i also got the speed that i was promised to receive. It is a great broadband company with great customer service personnel and great help at any time. It is not like those big big companies like AOL, BT and others that do flashy flashy adverts and don't satisfy their customers. I would recommend this to all who wish to take broadband and it is not expensive at all.

Plusnet
I have been trying to get broadband since january, firstly with sky who let me down on their promises and then the same by talk talk, I called Plusnet yesterday and told them about my problems......I now have fast broadband and calls all within 18 hours of my initial call to them, they have simply been amazing... they do exactly what they say they will do with no problems......they are not the cheapest but in my opinion you pay extra for the best.

Talk Talk
TalkTalk have just unbundled our local exchange. I never thought it would happen as we're only a small village in North Wales. Must say, I couldn't be happier with the service I've received so farm, although I do go through a reseller, not talktalk themselves.

Hey there. You own a few back links from stumble upon and they are certainly worth following. Your site is worthy of examining and genuinely helps fill the gap. My work is eliminating trojans from customers desktops at a tiny computer store around Dallas. I will return your site often.

Toucan
I signed up with Toucan in 2005 when their helpcentre was in Ireland. The only problem I had was back in 2007 when broadband didn't work for about a week and they compensated me with 3 monthe free broadband. Since then they were taken over by Pipex. I'm happy with them and when I wanted a router they provided it free with a new cheaper package.

Zen
Zen used to be great, and the actual BB provision still is. Unfortunately their previously good customer service and billing team seem to have been replaced in the last year or two with some of the most unhelpful people I have ever spoken to. It's a pity to see a once useful company spoilt like this, and I hope they'll get their act together again sometime.
