Provider Information
- Zen Internet was established in 1995.
- The company was one of the first Internet Service Providers in the UK.
- Zen was the winner of “Internet Service Provider of the Year” (Internet Magazine) and “Best Internet Provider” (Comdex).
Outstanding service. I would recommend Zen to anybody who is looking for a top quality broadband service. It is more expensive than the others I have used before but it is better in every single way. I have never had any downtime in 3 months (and I use the internet all day every day for my work). It’s incredibly fast (I clocked my 8GB connection at 777kb/sec which is near the theoretical limit). I have contacted customer services once by phone and once by email and they replied within minutes. The support staff is UK based and they know what they are talking about. Very refreshing.
You can even get a Firefox extension to see how many GB you have downloaded this month. Nice touch.
After various problems with One tel and the nightmare of Tiscali at last I have found an ISP that offers a fantastic service. Very well trained customer services and very customer focused. If I had to raise one very minor gripe it is the customer portal which, although once navigated is okay, could have a better interface, however, I understand that Zen are about to launch a new desktop add-on which should improve things.
Top marks and well done to a UK company that listens to its customers.
You pay your money and take your choice.
I have been with Zen Broadband for a couple of years now and they have seen me through all sorts of trials and tribulations with my various computer difficulties. I have found them to be a brilliant company. Easily contacted, they are very helpful and able to translate it all down to my nursery level. All in all I have had excellent service!
I’ve been with Zen for quite a while now. Their service rarely goes wrong and when it does they are only a phone call away. They are the most reliable provider I’ve been with (and I’ve been with quite a few).
I moved to Zen from Eclipse (who were absolutely terrible). Zen are happy to help with any problems and if you do want to leave them they have no problems at all with issuing your MAC code.
The only downside is the price. It’s rather expensive, especially considering the monthly usage caps. But you get what you pay for. I imagine that if Zen removed the caps, the service would suffer greatly.
Zen are really good, have had absolutely no probs with them, wouldn’t hesistate to recommend them. Only a ONE monh contract too, so if you don’t like them you’re not stuck. Now if they’d only give an unlimited max broadband product I’d be in heaven.
I recently switched (migrated) to Zen from Tiscali, a process that should have been easier than it was, hampered mostly by duff information from Tiscali, but also also by BT switching the connection without informing either Zen or Tiscali. However, I’m sorted with Zen now and have been really impressed with how easy they are to deal with & how technically knowledgeable they, without making all fly over my head!
Excellent ADSL provider. Their support team is really capable and actually answer the phone (unlike the cheap providers). Excellent speeds and service levels + fixed IP address (up to 6 for no extra if you ask for them).
I use Zen for hosting my web camera site and also for our business broadband. They are EXCELLENT, not cheap but you get what you pay for in terms of service, technical knowledge and above all courtesy.
Zen are a little bit more expensive than others but hugely more professional and reliable when compared to BT, Tiscali or Talk Talk all of whom from my experience frankly suck. I use Zen at my business and I use Nildram at home both are reliable, easily contactable and professional. They also use well informed, qualified and UK based support staff who know their stuff. I no longer use any company who have call centres based outside of the UK.
Faultless – wish all broadband providers could be this good. I think the price is fair, but the reliability and their customer service is worth every penny. To be honest I haven’t had to call them with any problems apart from when I was moving house (and it turned out to be a mistake on my part not theirs!)
